Bowls Mount Maunganui
Bowls Mount Maunganui is a lawn bowling club of some 260 members and operates all year around with roll-up days every Tuesday and Friday afternoon.
From mid-October to mid-March the club runs Community Twilight Bowls starting at 6.00pm; this is a fun event for young and old and is on offer specifically to non-bowling club members
The club has an artificial green available for hire which, together with Club Mount’s facilities, provides an ideal opportunity for corporate days/evenings, team building, Charismas functions etc. For enquiries, tel. 575 3838 or email mountbowls@xtra.co.nz

Welcome to Tauranga Petanque
New members are always welcome as it is a good sport for anyone and particularly bowls players who can no longer get that bend in their knees to deliver a bowl. The petanque boule is a smaller, lighter, unweighted ball thrown from a standing, squatting or anything in between stance to land as closely to the cochonet as possible.
Scoring is as in bowls - closest to the 'coch' of the 'holding' team counts. Games are usually played to 13 points no matter how many 'ends' this may take. on club days there is a time limit to each game of 40 minutes to ensure there is minimal waiting time between games but also a decent time to achieve a good game.
Club Days
Every Tuesday and Saturday. Play starts at 1:00 pm and those playing need to indicate that they are playing by 12:55 pm.
During Daylight Saving hours - commencing Tuesday 6th November Twilight Petanque is played from 4pm till dusk.
Guests Players from Other Clubs
We welcome guest players for a fun day of Petanque. Please contact Jo Ann so that we know you are coming and can contact you if for whatever reason that day's play does not go ahead.
First Time Players
You don't need any experience or equipment to give Petanque a try.
The Tauranga Bay of Plenty Petanque Association is affiliated to Petanque NZ. We play to the national body rules which are available on their website by clicking the link below.
